Golden Jubilee Celebrations 1952 - 2002
Chatburn Playing Fields - 3rd June 2002
The day started at 2.30pm in the rain and was opened by Ted Boden (Chairman of the Parish Council)
This was followed by a Fancy Dress competition judged by Ted and won by Alice Whittaker dressed as a Golden Sovereign.
The next event was the Medieval Jousting exhibition followed by teas and the talent competition, won by Lily Dugdale who sang solo.
Next on the agenda was Puppeteer and Magician, then it was outside into the sunshine to see the final session of the Jousting exhibition, during all this refreshments from the bar were available.
The day ended with a Junior, Teenager and Adult Karaoke with days proceedings running down after 9.pm.
A good day was had by all.
